Best Travel is a Danish tour operator established in 1999. We are a privately owned company under Danish management and form part of the Stena Line Travel Group, one of Northern Europe’s leading travel organisations.
We focus exclusively on group travel and do not offer FIT (individual) arrangements. This specialisation allows us to deliver well-organised, all-inclusive experiences tailored particularly for senior travellers, who make up the majority of our guests.
All of our tours are thoughtfully designed and include transport, accommodation, meals, excursions, and the support of a professional Danish-speaking tour leader who accompanies the group throughout the journey. Our itineraries emphasise comfort, cultural depth, and convenience, ensuring a relaxed and enjoyable holiday in good company.

Cultural round trips and river cruises
Best Travel specialises in expertly curated cultural tours and picturesque river cruises, primarily across Europe. Our holidays are thoughtfully tailored to suit senior travellers who value comfort, culture, and meaningful experiences.
Our guests travel by air, rail, or coach, with the majority opting to fly. As an IATA-accredited agency, we have strong partnerships with a wide range of commercial airlines and operate full charter flights to many of our most popular destinations.
Every journey is accompanied by a professional, Danish-speaking tour leader, ensuring a seamless and enriching experience from beginning to end. At Best Travel, we are committed to responsible tourism – aiming to give back to the local communities we visit and to travel in a way that respects and benefits both people and places.
Our Commitment
At Best Travel, we work systematically with responsible travel through our procedures, supplier cooperation, tour-leader guidance and traveller information.
We are Travelife Certified until 8 December 2027. Travelife Certified is the highest certification level in the Travelife programme for tour operators and travel agents and covers our management systems, procedures and operating practices.
Our suppliers receive Best Travel’s Sustainability Code of Conduct, which sets out our expectations regarding working conditions, human rights, animal welfare and environmental matters.
We also provide travellers with practical information about local conditions, customs and nature. Where a voluntary contribution to an external climate project is offered, it does not change or neutralise the emissions from the journey itself.
These initiatives support our work with responsible tourism but do not mean that every tour, supplier or transport option is without environmental or social impact.

What you should know
At Best Travel, we value strong, responsible partnerships. Please take note of the following expectations:
- Brand visibility - The Best Travel logo must be clearly visible throughout the tour — particularly on coaches and in hotels. Partners are encouraged to suggest how this can be implemented.
- Flexible cancellation - Free cancellation is expected in cases of travel restrictions in Denmark or at the destination.
- Tour leader room - A complimentary room must be provided for the tour leader.
- Timely communication - Requests for extra rooms or allotments must be answered within two working days.
- Commitment to sustainability - We expect our partners to adhere to our Sustainability Code of Conduct, including:
- Fair labour conditions and no child labour
- Respect for local culture and communities
- Reduced plastic use and protection of biodiversity
- Ethical treatment of animals in all activities
